Welcome to our new homework page. As a school we set homework on a Monday, one English and one Maths piece. They each have an English and Maths homework book to complete the work in.
We expect all children to read daily, this could be their reading book from school, a library book or other reading matter that they enjoy. They can record this in their daily reading diaries.
Spellings will be sent home in an individual manner - they will include words that the children are spelling incorrectly in their books and also the 'trickier' words that they need to learn as they go up through the school.
Below you will find copies of the homework that has been set, this enables yourself as a parent to see what your child is doing, or more importantly if they mislay it they are still able to access what has been set.
Homework is returned by Friday, allowing staff to look at the books both individually, with a child or go through as a class.
Additionally children all have access to mathletics. The Big Pond provides additional homework material in all subjects, as well as set topic work for the children to work on.
The above formation of homework has been created through discussion with all: teachers, parents and children over the past six months.
