We are delighted to be working in partnership with Edwards and Ward Catering, click here for their website. Thank you to all those who came along to the 'tasting session' held in the village hall at the end of the summer term 2016. The opinions were very positive and we followed parental requests, swapping over from Cygnet Catering.
November 2014 - SBC visited the school and looked at the service and preparation of the food and we were awarded 5 stars (see below for the certification). Both Miss Lindsay and Mrs Keller have Level 2 Food hygiene Certificate. January 2017 - SBC visited the school and again we were awarded 5 stars. Dinners are served by an employee from Edwards and Ward who completes the relevant checks on arrival, with the food delivered in hot boxes daily.
Dinners are eaten by the children in the village hall. Children who are bringing their own pack lunch also eat in the hall. We review this regularly and introduce new ideas in liaison with the School Council. Currently the children have mixed play but also separate key stage play - allowing the village hall to be calmer and quieter. On a Tuesday cooked dinners eat in the village hall while packed lunches eat in school, again to allow the children a quieter, pleasant experience. (updated Jan 18)
