We aim for all children to find enjoyment and creativity in Art and Design. We want children to discover a sense of purpose and fulfilment in artistic expression. Throughout their Primary education at Bishopstone, we will provide opportunities for children to experience and experiment with a range of media. In addition, they will be introduced to a range of artists, both traditional and contemporary to inspire their work. As the children progress through the school, we aim for them to become competent in using a range of materials and techniques and to start developing their own artistic style. We believe that artistic creation can provide fulfilment in life, can heighten perceptions and can contribute to cultural understanding.
